What inspired you to start your business?
I was inspired to start my business during COVID. Like many stuck indoors during COVID, my creative energy was bursting at the seams. I have always wanted to have my own brand and to see my designs out in the real world. With my extra time at home, Iris + Sea was born!
How has being a WBENC-Certified WBE helped your business?
Being a WBENC-Certified WBE has been life changing for my business. I was able to attend the 2022 WBENC conference in Atlanta, GA, where I met so many inspiring WBEs along with my cherished mentor. Prior to certification, I attended many of the Women Owned in Retail series that provided invaluable insight to the retail world. Along with the amazing opportunities, WBENC provides such an inclusive community of like-minded women all looking to uplift each other.
What do you love about being a business owner?
I love the ability to be in control of my destiny. I get to create artwork and designs that fuel my soul, and have the final say in decisions on what is being produced.
What’s the best way to start your day?
The best way to start my day is with a long walk outside, listening to a podcast and getting inspired by nature. Every morning starts with my favorite cup of coffee.
What’s your favorite career moment?
My favorite career moment to date has to be having my artwork licensed on products in a mass retailer nationwide.

The brand’s signature assortment features bright, playful, and bold prints for apparel, accessories and home decor designed with a whole lotta love.
