What inspired you to start your business?
When I began experiencing severe hair loss a few years ago I began researching the products on the market that were available to me. I was shocked to find that most of the products did not contain all the ingredients a woman needs to regrow her hair. Furthermore, all of the products that I found were packaged in plastic bottles. Even worse, supplement manufacturers were not transparent about the ingredients and processing methods. How could a woman be sure of what she was putting into her body? Disappointed, I decided to do some research, myself, into what exactly was needed to support healthy hair growth and overall health in women. I was not only looking for the key vitamins and complexes that directly supported hair growth, but also others that support overall well-being. I found 49 ingredients that support all of the above and combined, they give women the best chance to regrow their hair. I regrew my hair and am now helping others through their journey.
What advice would you give to other women entrepreneurs?
You are just as smart as anyone else in the room. Trust your gut, do your research and don’t be afraid to make decisions.
What three traits define you?
The three traits that define me are conscientiousness, openness and agreeableness.
What’s the hardest part about being a business owner?
The most difficult part about being a business owner, as a woman, is not being taken seriously by almost everyone I encounter. Despite my track record of business, academic and publishing success, it feels like when I walk in the room as a woman, I am discounted or dismissed.
How do you define success?
I define success as first and foremost being happy. All other aspects of success originate with happiness. From happiness, one has a vision combined with the focus and energy to create something of value that will serve others.
What’s your favorite career moment?
The moment I realized that I didn’t need permission to stop doing something that made me unhappy and start doing something that brought me joy.
What are you reading or listening to now? (
Currently, I am rereading Autobiography of Yogananda, Transurfing books 1 through five, Born Liars and Subscribed.
What’s the best way to start your day?
With an intention setting meditation, coffee first of course, followed by an invigorating workout.

When I face a challenge, I... remove myself from the situation so that I may objectively assess the problem. Then I consult with my mentors, peers and my inner self.
If I could go back in time, I would tell myself… you are just as smart as anyone else in the room, but that is just the beginning. You have to learn, evaluate and listen to your inner voice.
The one thing I couldn’t live without is… my family and friends.
By this time next year, I will be… removed from the daily operations of the business and focusing my time on educating and inspiring women to be their best physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual selves.
The best thing that happened to me last week was… we received a five-star review from a client. She did not achieve the results she wanted, but still provided a five-star review because of our support and nurturing of her. That was a good day!
To get my creative juices flowing, I… listen to happy upbeat music or audible book while I create new and fun dishes for my family and friends to enjoy. OK, so sometimes I try to twerk!!
