Montanya has a 15-year legacy as a trailblazer in American rum. We distill our rum at nearly 9,000 feet in the Rocky Mountains using pure mountain water and Louisiana sugarcane from a family farm we’ve partnered with for years. We are a certified B-Corp, one of the few in spirits, and we are committed to sustainability — no plastic packaging, local sourcing, and a deep commitment to our rural community.

What makes Montanya special is the way our environment shapes our rum. High-altitude distilling changes the boiling point, the way flavors extract, and how barrels breathe. The result is rum with surprising depth, smoothness, and has a unique sense of place. We call it “High Mountain Rum” because the mountains are truly part of the process.
