Aigner Chocolates is one of the oldest chocolate shops in New York City, making and purveying handcrafted confections in Forest Hills, Queens since 1930.

What started as Krause’s Candy Kitchen in 1930 has become a neighborhood institution and cornerstone of the Forest
Hills community. The Aigner family took over from the Krause’s in the early 1960s, making chocolate and candy
confections for three generations. In 2015, husband and wife duo Mark Libertini and Rachel Kellner became the new owners, continuing traditions and beginning many of their own.

All of Aigner’s chocolate is produced on-site using antique equipment and recipes that have been passed down through the
generations, including the traditional Austrian/German confections for which Aigner Chocolates is known.
