This fall, Women Owned is shining a spotlight on WBENC-Certified WBEs and their Economic Impact stories while also equipping our product-based WBEs with the tools to tell their Economic Impact stories more effectively.

Through the Your Impact Story campaign, we’re showing how every business decision, investment, and innovation contributes to measurable economic growth for you, your community, and WBEs nationwide.
We know that providing education around Economic Impact help WBEs not only tell their stories but also quantify them. Every woman-owned business has an impact and when we can measure it, we can magnify it!

To help WBEs put education into action, we’re encouraging everyone to interact with the Economic Impact Types featured throughout this campaign. Each type offers a lens through which you can view and measure your business achievements, and by exploring these categories, you’ll learn how to identify the areas where your business is creating the greatest impact, and how to translate those efforts into measurable data that tells your story.

Understanding these impact types helps you quantify what you do best and communicate it with purpose, confidence, and clarity.

This fall, WBENC and Women Owned have made it a priority to educate both consumers and WBEs about economic impact, what it is, why it matters, and how it shapes the future of entrepreneurship. By breaking down economic impact types like job growth, revenue growth, community / social impact, market expansion, sustainability, and technology investment, etc. we’ve empowered WBEs to articulate the full scope of their impact; not just what they sell, but the real change they create. At the same time, we’ve helped consumers understand that every purchase has power. When they buy Women Owned, they’re fueling small business growth, strengthening local economies, and contributing to a more diverse, resilient marketplace.
